Computer Forensics Examiner $125-200K New York & DC
Specific responsibilities include:
• Perform Computer Forensic services including digital evidence preservation, analysis, data recovery, tape recovery, electronic mail extraction, and database examination.
• Conduct investigation involving analysis of electronic media by acquiring, searching and reviewing electronic evidence.
• Acquire and preserve computer media in either a lab setting or through onsite data capture or seizure.
• Provide oversight for on-site examinations and collections.
• Provide technology advisory services to help enhance forensic engagements.
• Handle evidence.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in an Information Technology field from an accredited university, or equivalent related work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Computer Forensic tools (Encase, FTK, dcfldd, ImageMasster solo).
• Experience with SQL Server, ACL, PERL, and Shell Scripting is desirable.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
